Tell us about your professional/educational background.
I attended undergrad at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I got degrees in Management, with a concentration in International Management, and Psychology. During that time, I started a research assistantship with Dr. Deborah DiazGranados and learned to love all things I-O. From there, I attended George Mason University and received my master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. I worked as a research fellow at the Army Research Institute during graduate school, conducting statistical analyses, literature reviews, and designing research projects on employee resilience, belonging, mentorship, and more.
When you’re not working, where can we find you?
Most of the time, you can find me with my two cats, Frank and Stevie. If I’m not there, I’m rock climbing at my local climbing gym, visiting my hometown, or exploring DC!
What do you like the most about working at FMP?
What I like about FMP is its extensive reach, both within the client landscape and in community outreach. The holiday-sharing event exemplifies this spirit, providing opportunities to contribute time and donations to a family in the community during the festive season. As a transplant to the area, this event and many others that FMP hosts have been a conduit for meaningful connections and service opportunities. Moreover, because I can’t choose just one thing – the dedicated, knowledgeable, and supportive atmosphere at FMP makes learning with and from coworkers a seamless experience. If I reach out to others, whether on my team or not, I am met with acceptance and willingness to help.
What projects have you been working on since you joined?
Since joining FMP, I have been working with a Federal Financial Regulatory Agency on workforce planning. A large part of my work with them has included developing and validating job descriptions, competency models, survey design, data analyses, and crafting comprehensive briefings.
