Describe yourself in 3 words.
If I had to describe myself in three words, I would choose calm, creative, and, at times, idealistic. I pride myself in my ability to remain calm even in the most stressful of situations. I believe creativity to be the essence of what makes us who we are as individuals, whether it’s the creative solutions we find for challenges at work, or the way we express ourselves in our own personal passion projects. I also sometimes find myself thinking about how things should be, rather than just accepting everything for what it is, especially if I feel I have control over or the means to improve a situation.
When you’re not working, where can we find you?
Away from work, I enjoy writing anything, producing music, and meeting new people. I also love watching and playing sports (basketball and football, in particular.) Unfortunately, my favorite sports team is the Chicago Bears. But brighter days are ahead.
What is something you are passionate about?
I’d describe myself as an antisocial extrovert – I enjoy solitude and time alone with my hobbies. However, I find parties, meeting new people, and talking with people about their passions very energizing and inspiring.
What is your current role at FMP?
At work, I spend most of my time supporting our Office of Personnel Management (OPM) contract. A good chunk of my role involves video – visualizing, scripting, and editing video projects that FMP is contracted for. After a recent recompete win, our team has expanded and so have our responsibilities, including my role as the Content Manager. I’m intaking any requests for content creation, whether they’re for video, design, or even 508 remediation, assigning them to members of our team, and tracking and reporting relative metrics back to OPM leadership. I’ve also enjoyed writing for proposals. It’s pretty fun using my skillset in different ways.
What do you like the most about working at FMP?
As someone who values creativity so highly, I find the independence and creative authority that FMP grants its consultants invaluable. The ability to set your own schedule and solve problems the way you see fit directly leads you to learn about yourself and the way you work best. As a result, FMP fosters self-improvement and growth in a way that resonates with employees and pushes them to be the best versions of themselves.
